We have four Community Development Officers each covering an area of the Borough;  Brownlow, Lurgan, Portadown and Rural areas.

Community Development is a partnership process aiming to bring about positive change.  Officers work with local people helping them identify need and assisting with development of projects and schemes.

Working directly with local residents, we provide the following support:

• Information, Advice, Support, Training
• Support to new groups
• Research/Needs Assessment
• Signposting to other Council Departments/Services and Statutory Agencies
• Co-ordinate responses to community needs with other statutory bodies
• Good Relations
• Funding Advice
• Administer Council Grant Aid and Neighbourhood Festival Event Scheme
