Craigavon Borough Council erects and maintains over 50 bus shelters across the Borough.

If you would like to make an application for one to be sited in your area please write to Mr Trevor Graham, Head of Technical Services, providing the following information:

  • A description and map identifying the location where you would like the shelter
  • Why the shelter is needed and how many people would use it
  • What properties are immediately adjacent to the proposed location.
  • Who is requesting the shelter and information on the number of people who support the application.

The Council will consider applications based on:

  • Whether the location is suitable from a traffic safety and visability point of view
  • Whether there is agreement from all landowners and local residents
  • How many people would benefit from a facility in this location
  • Whether agreement can be reached with other interested statutory agencies e.g. Planning Service and the Roads Service.

The Council has a limited budget and therefore applications may have to be prioritised on the basis of need, suitability and local agreement.
