The Centre enjoys a unique and beautiful setting on the edge of the Lough where visitors can learn all about the history, the culture and wildlife in and around Lough Neagh. 
Other facilities in the Centre include:
- The Loughside Café specialising in home cooking
- A craft and gift shop with examples of local crafts
- Local Information Office for visitors to Craigavon
- Meeting rooms for courses, conferences and launches
The staff at the Discovery Centre arranges various environmental events throughout the year including bird watching, pond-dipping and guided nature walks
