Craigavon Borough Council protects and records public rights of way, while developing new countryside paths. We aim to

  • provide opportunities to enjoy the countryside in a healthy way
  • raise awareness of the rich natural and built heritage of Craigavon
  • contribute to the development of green transport and local regeneration

What’s here

  • Wetlands Way - Waymarked trails for walking, cycling and horseriding covering 40 miles through the South Lough Neagh Wetlands.
  • Ulster Way - 26 miles following the Newry Canal towpath, River Bann, and minor roads.
  • National Cycle Network – 13miles on cycle paths and minor roads via Oxford Island and Craigavon Lakes.

What’s coming

  • Newry Canal Linear Park – A 20 mile Newry Canal Towpath from Portadown to Newry, part of the National Cycle Network.
  • Lough Neagh Cycle Way – A 110 mile cycle trail around Lough Neagh.
  • Waymarked Way – a 20 mile waymarked walking trail from Portadown to Newry.
