Green Purchasing

The Council recognises its responsibility as a major purchaser of goods and services. The Council has adopted a green purchasing policy which aims to integrate environmental consideration into the purchasing process with the goal of reducing the impact of our purchases on human health and the environment.

In 1999 we adopted our Green Purchasing Policy to ensure that suppliers meet our environmental criteria, in order to reduce their environmental impact while providing a service for Craigavon Borough Council.
