The work carried out by the Development Team involves improving the Council's own environmental performance, and working with local communities to ensure that everyone has access to a good quality of life. Our Team focuses on Recycling, Health and Sustainable Development.
We intend to carry sustainable development forward in Craigavon Borough Council by:
- Delivering Environmental Management System ISO 14001 to other Council departments.
- Developing appropriate partnerships with community and other organisations that will demonstrate or assist in delivering practical examples of sustainable development
- Promote Healthy lifestyles among our staff and the local community.
- Develop recycling activities in line with government targets.
- Help local businesses in the area to operate in a more sustainable manner and reduce overheads.
