The Borough has a wide range of modern and well-equipped indoor leisure facilities, which cater for sports activities for all ages and abilities. 




This complex in Lurgan offers a varied programme of activities throughout the year. The staff are always on hand to give advice and make your visit enjoyable.

The complex includes a 25-metre pool and a children/learner pool with water features especially popular with small children. Swimming lessons are available for both children and adults.

Our corporate Fitness suite “Body Zone” has an excellent range of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, cross trainers ,steppers, spinning bikes and both resistant machines and loose weights.

Get refreshed and invigorated in the health suite with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Other activities on offer include: Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates , Circuit training, Spinning Classes (an aerobic workout on an exercise bike) and Aquarobics (a workout in the water)

We have “Early Birds “ Swimming and Gym sessions from 7.30am to 9.00am Monday – Friday for those who like to train before work .

Water Based Classes For Mums-to-be through to pre-school

Swimming

Swimming is a great way to exercise and has many benefits. We have early bird swims, drop-in lessons, lunch time sessions, lane swims, parent & toddler sessions, ladies only nights and fun & float times. With a busy schools and teaching program it should be noted that public opening times can vary, so it’s worth checking in advance.

Swimming child admission policy

Minor pool (standard shallow depth of 0.8m)

1Adult (16 or over) can accompany up to 3 children age 4 -7 or 2 children under 4.

Main pool (1m – 2m depth)

1Adult (16 or over) can accompany up to 2 children age 4 -7 or 1 children under 4.

Outdoor pitches

Outside we have a full-size floodlit astroturf pitch that’s great for clubs, groups, works teams or friends. The pitch which is marked out for football and hockey can be booked as a whole or you can hire ½ a pitch if it suits you better.

We also have an enclosed mini Astroturf pitch, perfect for smaller groups and great for junior football birthday parties.

Indoor halls

We have a large main hall that caters for most sports, including; football, badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball, gymnastics, trampolining, table tennis and archery, A minor hall and activity room are also available.

Lots of sports and activities on offer

Maybe you have other interests; squash, judo, ju-jitsu or Tai-kwondo. With many clubs based at Craigavon Leisure Centre all with qualified coaches, there is an opportunity to join in and take part or try something new.

For regular bookings we offer a block booking opportunity every 4 months. So if you are interested in playing football in our main hall or hockey on our outside pitch, then let us know.

Over 50s

The ‘Forever Young’ club meets every Tuesday from 10am and offers a range of sports and leisure activities each week and a great social outlet for the more mature.

BodyZone

Our fully qualified and experienced instructors are on hand to give personal assessments and advice. We have a wide range of machines and free weights, with many adaptable and suitable for persons with disabilities. With a friendly atmosphere everyone is catered for and there is no excuse in not achieving your targets, no matter if it’s general fitness, slimming down, strengthening up or bulking out!

Our balcony café over looking the main swimming pool and main hall provides the opportunity to relax. Take time out with a ‘cuppa and a scone’, select a meal from our menu, have a snack, refresh yourself with a drink or cool down with an ice-cream.  We cater for birthday parties and provide children’s favourite meals.

Summer Scheme

Each year we run a very exciting and successful summer scheme at the Leisure Centre with the emphasis firmly on FUN it’s a great opportunity for the kids to have a fun-packed summer, make new friends and play a variety of sports, games and other activities.

Cascades Leisure Complex





Do you want to have fun in a safe and friendly environment? Cascades can offer you just that where quality service is assured.

This complex in Portadown has a 33-metre pool with diving boards and children’s/learner pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna.

Come along to the many Swimming Lessons - whether you are young or old, you can improve your skills and gain confidence in the water.

The complex has a modern fitness suite, BODYZONE, where you can enjoy a workout on a selection of cardiovascular and resistance machines.

The Council now provides an Irish and Ulster Scots voicemail service for any member of the public who wishes to ring using these languages. Simply ring the Council and ask to be put through to the service.  You will then hear a voicemail message in that language and be asked to leave your message.  We will then have your message translated and a response sent.
