Recreation Development

Our service

Recreation Development covers a wide range of activities with the aim of getting more people to become more active using their outdoor environment, by providing a wide variety of accessible high quality outdoor leisure opportunities for people who live and work in the Borough, and also visitors to the area.

What we do:

The Recreation Development Unit works in partnership with a range of bodies to maintain existing and develop new infrastructure and participation initiatives.  We also help to co-ordinate the strategic development of outdoor recreation and access to the countryside across the Craigavon area through the facilitation of an Outdoor Recreation Forum.
