Assisted Lift – Refuse Collection
Residents who are unable to bring their refuse container to the kerbside for empting, may receive assistance from Craigavon Borough Council. This service is available to the elderly or disabled, providing there is no other able bodied person living in the household. The refuse collection crew will enter the householder’s premises, empty their bin and return it to its original location.
To avail of the service you will need to send a Doctor’s / Practice Nurse / Health Visitor / Social Worker etc. letter requesting as assisted lift stating:
• Your name and address
• Reason you are unable to bring your bin to the kerbside
