Armagh Coats of ArmsThe Councillors

Elected through Local Government elections every four years, Councillors decide the order of priorities for services, balancing the needs of the local community with the actual cost of providing these services.

Council holds an Annual Meeting in June each year, at which a new Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected and the membership of Council's Committees is decided.

Full Council meets twice per month, on the first and third Monday at 6:00pm, at the Civic Centre. These meetings are open to the Public except for when confidential matters are discussed.

There are a total of 26 Councillors, each representing particular areas, or electoral wards within the Borough.
